HR Standard Successfully Completes Korean Language Education Program for Foreign Workers

Korean Language Education Program for 282 Foreign Workers

HR Standard (CEO Choi Jeong-hwan) has successfully completed a Korean language education program for 282 foreign workers employed at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and its partner companies over the course of 8 weeks. The program aimed to enhance the communication skills of foreign workers and assist their adaptation to Korean society. It included basic Korean language education and a preparatory course for the Social Integration Program pre-assessment.

Basic Korean and Social Integration Program Courses

The basic Korean language education was provided to 261 foreign workers from five countries, including Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam, and consisted of a total of 32 hours of lessons. Additionally, the preparatory course for the Social Integration Program pre-assessment was conducted for 21 foreign workers over 48 hours.

High Satisfaction with the Education

The satisfaction survey conducted after the program showed highly positive feedback from the participants. In the "Willingness to Recommend the Course" category, all respondents answered positively. In particular, 85% expressed high satisfaction with the "native language teaching method." Satisfaction with the "instructors" was 82%, and satisfaction with the "course content" was 72%, indicating a generally high level of satisfaction among the participants.

Results of the Social Integration Program

All participants in the Social Integration Program pre-assessment exam were assigned to KIIP levels 2-3. This indicates that they were able to acquire KIIP points through the basic Korean language course and complete level 3 in a short period of time, a remarkable achievement that exceeded the original goal.

Future Plans and Development Directions

Yoon So-mang, HR Standard's team leader, stated, "This education program has been a meaningful achievement, as it provided foreign workers with the opportunity to meet the requirements for staying in Korea and to convert their E-9 visa to E-7-4." She also added, "We are currently running job-specific Korean language courses, such as Korean for welding and Korean for painting, and plan to continue developing teaching materials and running programs to provide practical support to foreign workers."

HR Standard's Comprehensive Solution

HR Standard provides comprehensive solutions for the stable settlement of foreign workers. The company offers various services to support their daily lives, such as settlement support, office assistance, and promotion of domestic exchanges. Additionally, through its industry-specific Korean language education programs, HR Standard contributes to preventing safety accidents caused by language barriers and improving productivity.
