HR STANDARD (CEO Choi Jung-hwan) successfully operated a Korean language education program for foreign workers employed by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and its partner companies from February 19 to April 15, 2024.
A total of 261 foreign workers from five nationalities, including Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam, participated in the basic Korean language course, while 21 workers took part in a preparatory course for the Social Integration Program (KIIP) pre-assessment.
Following the completion of the program, all participants indicated that they would recommend the program to others. Participants also expressed high satisfaction with the native-language-based instruction, curriculum, and teaching staff.
In particular, all participants who took the KIIP pre-assessment were placed in Levels 2–3 of the Social Integration Program, demonstrating the effectiveness of the education program.
HR STANDARD emphasized, “The significance of this Korean language education program lies in the fact that it enabled foreign workers to meet the Ministry of Justice requirements for extending their period of stay in Korea or changing their status of stay through short-term education, while also providing E-9 workers with an opportunity to transition to the E-7-4 visa.”
The company added, “We are currently also operating vocational Korean language courses, such as Korean for painting and Korean for welding. We plan to continue developing and operating various educational programs that can provide practical assistance to foreign workers by developing our own educational materials and programs.”
HR STANDARD provides comprehensive solutions to support the stable settlement of foreign workers residing in Korea. The company offers a wide range of services, including settlement support, administrative assistance, and programs to promote social interaction in Korea. It also develops and operates Korean language education programs to help prevent workplace accidents caused by language barriers and improve productivity at industrial worksites.
