HR STANDARD (CEO Choi Jung-hwan), a total solution provider for foreign workers, operated a Korean language education program for foreign workers employed by HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and its partner companies.
The program was designed to improve foreign workers’ Korean communication skills and support their stable settlement in Korea, and consisted of a Basic Korean Language Course and a preparatory course for the Social Integration Program (KIIP) pre-assessment.
A total of 261 foreign workers from five nationalities, including Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam, participated in the Basic Korean Language Course, while 21 workers participated in the Social Integration Program preparatory course.
In a satisfaction survey conducted after the program, all participants indicated that they would recommend the program, and they also expressed high satisfaction with the native-language-based instruction, curriculum, and teaching staff.
Through these results, HR STANDARD stated that it was able to confirm the effectiveness of its Korean language education program, which was designed to reflect the characteristics and needs of foreign workers.
In particular, all participants who took the Social Integration Program pre-assessment were placed in Levels 2–3 of KIIP. This demonstrated tangible results from the education program, including achieving KIIP scores through Basic Korean Language Education and appropriate level placement through pre-assessment preparation.
HR STANDARD added that it plans to expand vocational Korean language courses specialized for industrial workplaces, such as Korean for painting and Korean for welding, and continue supporting foreign workers’ smooth communication and stable settlement in Korea through its own educational materials and programs.
